And then there are homeowners that never change their air filters. Of course people want that AC on the 2nd floor which most installations never get it to do properly. Upstairs hot, downstairs cold scenario. Those coils will dehumidify regardless of speed. At coil temps increase the TXV also senses that and allow in more refrigerant. If coil is still too hot after that then you have too small of a system.

No sir I don't do attics that are above 100F after 12 pm and I start as early as possible. I will do 7-12 and if it takes longer than that which let's be honest it really shouldn't take that long most Furnace/Air Handler replacements should take 2-3 hours but if it does I will come back at 7 am the next day to finish up. If the customer has an issue with that they can call another company and let their techs get heatstroke. You have to take care of you first and foremost.

One of my clients was a C-suite guy made boat loads of money and had eight installed in his home. Closed loop system. He never changed the filters. Had evap leaks. I charged a lot of $$. And he did not care as long as it was repaired we. Lots of experience gained. Parts can be a pain to get as well. Coax needs to be flushed annually.

A friend of mine - an elderly lady - had her 10 year old 4t package unit repaired. She was told that it had a leak and should be replaced. She opted to have it topped off with refrigerant. They quoted her $20K for a new unit. This is not a high cost of living area. I don't know how these guys live with themselves.

Tech says i dont know what the CFM should be... then do the calc for CFM. IF YOU DONT KNOW THE CALCULATION........LEARN IT ! !

Talking about Crawl Space.....i installed AC and Heating complete System and changed out all ductwork.....my knees and ankles are hurt 😢

When it’s hot and the work is grueling I tell the young guys it’s a character building day embrace it! I also tellum they’ve been graced with the ability to do this work. Many come out of expensive tech schools come to work with the best tools but can’t cut it on the field. I also explain all that screwing up in high school won’t bite them in the ass if they make it in the trade. They’ll be able to live a pretty good life buying a house and supporting their family.

I’ve wrapped the condenser in a garbage bag as well to try to build up head pressure and then try to force the RV to shift.

I don’t like hot days like that. The cold days where it hurts to breathe are worse.

Good video. I do mainly RTUs and this time of year when I take a panel off I make sure to set it up somewhere. I don’t leave them laying flight. I think sometimes you could fry an egg on them. Go take a showers, lol

Our float switch has tripped twice in one month. It’s placed as a secondary line next to the primary line like the image you have at 2:26. I can see inside to where the ptrap is and inside the vent drain, neither are blocked/overflowing with water. Any thoughts on why the switch would still have condensation build up?

A lot of companies have “Leader Boards” to promote a “healthy competition” for service technician sales. They track the #’s and expect you to “perform”. If your #’s are down, you’re not doing your job. I’m a service technician, not a salesman.

Wow. Thank you, I beat myself up all the time over it. I thinking it’s just me and the way I work, if only I was more faster and more organized and was always on my game. But I’m not a super hero, I’m just a man who gets tired, frustrated and burnt out. Cus, all I do is work outside of the house and work when I get home, scheduling, quoting and ordering. Dude, I’m halfway through the video and I’m already laughing and feeling better. Thank you! I’m so overwhelmed, I can’t get back to people fast enough, call on materials, send out quotes, do all the work, etc. and still have something left for my personal life, which should be coming first, but really falls by the wayside. It’s so frustrating, I love what I do, the company I own and all that God has blessed us with. But it’s so unorganized sometimes and very stressful and difficult to stay on top of.
